Dr. Martin is a highly experienced medical professional. He is a graduate of The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and lived and worked in Kyoto, Japan for 2 years during his medical schooling career doing cancer research. He started his career as a general surgeon in North Jersey, then moved to Texas and opened an endoscopy practice with another partner. After many years in Texas, Dr. Martin moved to the east coast and worked in various hospital emergency departments throughout New Jersey and in Harlem, New York. In 1998, Dr. Martin became employed by the Department of Corrections and worked at various maximum security State Correctional facilities. Dr. Martin eventually opened up his own Family Medicine and Substance Use Disorders practice in Salem, New Jersey where he remains in practice. Dr. Martin also treats patients with substance use disorders in Woodbine, New Jersey under the practice of Dr. Andrew Drake. Dr. Martin currently works part time at Woodbine Developmental Center treating disabled institutionalized male adults. He remains a part time employee of Water’s Medical House Calls owned by Herman Waters, NP and is the primary care provider to homebound patients. Dr. Martin is trained in the arts of Botox, Fillers, Sclerotherapy, and Threading.

In his spare time, Dr. Martin loves spending time with his dogs. He has 2 dogs: a plot hound and a yorkie. Dr. Martin is an avid cruiser and loves vacationing with his wife Stephanie to various resorts and countries. Dr. Martin plays the piano and oboe and prior to medical school, was planning to go to school for music before a family member talked him into medical school. Dr. Martin has 6 adopted children, and 5 step children. Dr. Martin’s favorite holiday is Halloween. He and his wife were actually married on that day and had a Halloween themed wedding. Dr. Martin was active in the military as a physician for 16 years for the United States Army and retired as a lieutenant colonel.
